Blake Hunt Ventures and a group consisting of Sunhill Development and some private investors have been picked by the City Council to co-develop the downtown retail project along Capitol Avenue.

“We envision an attractive and vibrant main street destination,” Jerry Hunt of Blake Hunt told council members Tuesday during a work session before the regular meeting. “It will be a place where people will come together to stroll, dine and be entertained.”
The city and co-developers will create during the next 180 days a “road map document” to determine the feasibility of the project. The project is expected to take three years or more to complete.
