(Los Angeles, California - November 2006)- Burke Williams, California’s most luxurious collection of day spas is pleased to announce that it has executed a lease to occupy 17,500 square feet of second floor space at “The Rose Garden.” The Rose Garden is a 9.75 acre mixed-use specialty retail, office and residential project located in Danville, California. It is being developed by Blake Hunt Ventures and the Castle Companies and is scheduled to open at the end of 2007. The Rose Garden location will be Burke Williams’ third spa in Northern California. Other Northern California locations include Santana Row in San Jose and the Westfield San Francisco Center in San Francisco.

The company, founded by Bill Armour in Brentwood, California, bills itself as “beyond the spa.” Burke Williams’ philosophy is to provide an elegant, nurturing, safe haven from the stresses of everyday living. Armour coined the expression “day spa” in the mid-eighties. Services include seven kinds of massage, facials, signature wet room treatments, hydrotherapy, wraps, and nail care for both men and women in separate facilities. All treatments include complimentary use of amenities such as whirlpool, steam, sauna, rain bar showers, and a well-stocked vanity area.

Each Burke Williams location has a different mood-evoking motif. This location is being designed collaboratively by the San Francisco architectural firm Louis Felthouse and Associates, BW’s Creative Services Department and Jay Marc Associates of Hollywood, CA. The spa’s design theme will evoke a grand beach-front mansion with an infusion of natural woods, a white-on-white color palette and luxuriously upholstered furniture, accented by beautiful lighting and a fireplace. A comfortable lounge and adjacent salon will cater to guests’ needs with consultations on a variety of products. Pitchers of fruit infused iced water abound throughout the spa. A quiet room will provide a relaxing environment with overstuffed recliners, dim light and herb tea both before and after treatments.

The company, a leader in the highly competitive spa industry, owes its success to word of mouth referrals, repeat business, and booming gift certificate sales. Burke Williams' hours of operations are 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily.
