Walnut Creek based Blake Hunt Ventures hopes to develop the 10 acre Navlet’s site at 800 Camino Ramon, a property the town considers significant because of its size and location. Blake Hunt will ask the Town Council to consider a general plan amendment, a first step to developing the property, said Bradley Blake of Blake Hunt Ventures.

Blake, who grew up in Danville, said his company has worked closely with town planners on a workable plan for the site, but hesitated to discuss specifics until the Town Council approves the plan. Blake Hunt Ventures proposes moving Navlet’s nursery to two acres at the southern portion of the site. The company hopes to put specialty retail and office use on about five other acres, and use the remaining 2 1/2 acres for anchor retail, hotel, office or residential use. The project would probably be built in phases, Blake said.

Blake is interested in a mix of home design and home furnishings, soft and hard goods, restaurants and services that will complement the town’s mix of businesses.
